September notes

It has been a busy month here. We have been catching up on odd jobs and repairs the last couple of weeks as well as training calves. I went to the New Brunswick Beef Expo on the weekend and had a successful and great time. I arrived with 6 head and came home with 3! Many thanks to Mark Oulton for all his help and the Expo crew, especially Gale and Linda Lackie for all their hard work.

Everything is early

 I can never remember having the oats combined in August and the straw done the 2nd day of September. Usually we are struggling to get finished by the third week of September. The weather has been fantastic, almost to good as this week has been incredibly hot with humidex's up to 40 C. I know that other parts of the country are knee deep in water but we might be joining them this weekend as Hurricane Earl is on his way.
