Soybean harvest complete

November 19, 2011


After a very wet October the harvest got under way just before Halloween. Given the poor growing season, yields were very a respectable one tonne/acre. We grew 2 varieties DeKalb 26-10  and Coop variety Etna.

CAA survey

The Canadian directors want to hear from the membership on which direction the association should take in the future so please take the time to fill it out. We have 4 of our own bulls as well as one for Colby MacQuarrie of Winsloe, PEI on home test here at the farm and one bull going on test at the Maritime Beef Testing Station in Nappan, NS.

Sale results

The 13th annual Angus in Action Sale was another success. Many thanks to the organizers and consignors as well as the buyers. Our purebred heifer, Worth-a-Bit Blackcap 13X was purchased by Weldon Estabrooks of Sackville, NB and our commercial heifer is going to Richard Feeney in Harvey Station, NB.
