Half brother to our herdsire named reserve champion at Olds

October 7, 2011
HF Hemi 176W was recently named reserve champion Angus bull at the Olds Fall Classic in Olds, Alberta. He and our herdsire HF Torque 171W are both sired by HF Hemi 151T. We have some great heifer calves in the pasture now by Torque and are really looking forward to his 2012 calves.

Angus in Action Sale Entry

WORTH-A-BIT BLACKCAP 13X is one of our top replacement females. Every one of her EPDs is well above the breed average, with her birth weight EPD in the top 7% of the breed and yearling weight in the top 20%. Her sire, WORTH-A-BIT IN FOCUS 12U, is currently owned by Ivan Boswall of Dunstaffnage PEI. He sired the Grand Champion Bull at the 2010 St. Mary's Fair and the Reserve Champion in 2011. Another CSA season comes to an end

As summer turns to fall, this week marks the end to another CSA (community supported agriculture) season. New Brunswick Beef Expo

September 26, 2011
Congratulations to the organizers of this year's event as well as all the winners of the various breed shows and the junior show. We here at Worth-a-Bit Angus were proud to sponsor the Champion Showman which was won by Taylor Welch of Garvie, New Brunswick.

Highlights of our showing were 2nd place angus heifer calf and 3rd place mature cow. Worth-a-Bit Annie K 4Y placed 6th in the multi breed Miss Beef Expo class.
